Worship Schedule

Our Intercessory Prayer Group meets at 10 AM on Wednesday. Bible Study follows at 11 AM.The Holy Eucharist/Healing service is held at Noon in the Chapel.

Music Ministry
Joel Lenderman - Choir Director
The music ministry at Christ Church is an integral part of our Sunday morning worship. The variety of music during our 10:00 AM service ranges from classical and traditional to gospel and contemporary. During our worship service, we use both the 1982 Hymnal and the Lift Every Voice and Sing II hymnal, in addition to supplemental choral selections. Our rebuilt 1896 Hook and Hastings two-manual pipe organ is played every Sunday, and our recently purchased Charles Walter piano is utilized often to accompany choral anthems and instrumental solos.
Our organist/choir director, Joel Lenderman, M.M.Ed., is a lifetime member of Christ Church and has led the music program since 1994. In addition to his responsibilities at Christ Church, Joel has been an elementary school music teacher since 1995.
All age groups are encouraged to participate in the music ministry.
The adult choir (9th grade and older) sings regularly for the 10:00 AM service and rehearses Wednesday evenings from September through June. There is no formal audition to participate, however, an individual meeting with Mr. Lenderman may be necessary to determine vocal part.
All children in grades K- 12 will participate in the music ministry as part of the Sunday Christian Education program. These rehearsals are scheduled as part of their weekly Sunday morning class. Additionally, chimes and instrumental selections are incorporated into the program for the older children. Children perform three to four times between October and May.
Guest musicians join us for the late Christmas Eve service and the Easter morning 10:00 AM service heightening our worship experience during these high holy days. Special performances involving parishioners and visiting artists are scheduled throughout the course of the year.
